Basic Rules
- Play 5 initial matches to be placed into a division with up to 100 players of similar skill.
- Winning games rewards Ladder Points (LP), allowing you to move up within your division.
- Winning games also increases your MMR (MatchMaker Rating), which determines your rank badge and division.
- Win enough games to get promoted to higher ranks.
- Additional Bonus Points (BP) are awarded to both active and inactive players (1 point every 100 minutes).
- Bonus Points can be spent by playing games, effectively doubling the amount of LP earned for a win, while negating the LP lost for a defeat.
The Way to the Top
- The highest rank achievable within the division system is Brigadier General, awarded to the top ~4% players on the server.
- The top 50 players on the server by MMR get the chance to compete in an exclusive "Generals" ladder and fight for the most prestigious badges. See the ranks reference for more details.
- To be eligible for promotion to the rank of General, players must meet the minimum MMR and have at least 20 games played this season over the last 3 weeks.
- Promotions are awarded daily at 10 PM server time. Players are promoted from a special "Contenders" ladder, which contains the top 100 eligible players on the server by MMR.
- Demotions are given daily at 7 PM server time. Players not meeting the requirements, as well as the bottom ~10%, are kicked into the lower divisions. Eligible players may re-earn their spot at the next round of promotions.
- Players competing in the Generals ladder are ranked by MMR only, which best reflects player skill. Ladder Points and Bonus Points are not used.

Rules of Conduct
- Wintrading of any kind is forbidden. Feeding wins/points will result in a ban for both players.
- Playing under different nicknames is allowed, but they cannot play against each other.
- Manipulating the matchmaker by repeatedly cancelling the queue is not allowed.
- Using any kind of cheats is forbidden and will result in a ban.
